Network
Participants of this course identify how God has gifted them and how best they might serve with their gifts. Through group discovery sessions, followed by one-on-one consultations, Network is committed to helping people find a meaningful place of service for which they are equipped by God.
Support Network

A ministry providing short term practical help to the people of St Luke's Miranda

At St Luke’s we seek to encourage, support and meet the needs of one another both spiritually and physically.

The Support Network aims to provide short-term practical care within the parish in various ways.

The three main areas of assistance:

  • Cooking - providing a meal, biscuits or cakes for a person or family during illness or family crisis.
  • Home Help - by helping out (on a short term basis) with household chores (eg. ironing vacuuming, shopping etc.) mowing, gardening or small repairs.
  • Transport - by being available as a driver or driver’s assistant to transport a person to a medical appointment, church activity etc.

For further information contact Jennie Everist at the church office.

Women

The vision of the Women's Ministry committee for all women at St Luke's is to provide a program of opportunities for nurture and outreach through a variety of functions and events during the year. The program offers opportunities to invite friends to hear the gospel in a relaxed setting. A weekend retreat is a biennial event open to all women.

Men

Men organise evangelistic dinners, breakfasts and weekends away to encourage and support regular attenders and newcomers as they grow in their knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Program highlights include, attendance at Katoomba Men's Convention in February, local Men's Retreat on a Friday night & Saturday in May and Breakfast by the Beach in November.

For further information and dates of events, please contact St Luke's office.

Mission
Mission ministry promotes overseas mission, keeping the church informed, motivated to pray, financially supportive and personally involved. A week long Missions Convention his held annually at St Luke's at which a missionary speaker is invited to address our congregation during services and special functions.
