St Luke's Miranda is an evangelical Anglican church in the Diocese of Sydney, Australia. We believe the Bible to be God's Word and the foundation of all we believe. In particular, we believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to know God, the creator of heaven and earth. Only through Jesus’ death and resurrection are we able to be in right relationship with God and live the way God intended us to live, in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Our vision statement is "Living God's Way". This statement has three components: Looking to God in prayer, Learning through Bible teaching and Loving through nurture and outreach. These components reflect our relationship with God, our relationship with each other as members of his family and our relationship with the world with whom we long to share his love.
- Looking to God in prayer
In our personal lives and in our meetings together we acknowledge our dependence upon God as we seek to live God's way.
- Learning through Bible teaching
In Sunday church and in small groups we recognise the importance of learning from God's Word so that we can know how to live God's way.
- Loving through nurture and outreach
We care for the saints and reach out to others with God's love as an expression of living God's way in the power of the Holy Spirit.
