Children's Ministry at St Luke's

There is a great time waiting for all children at St Luke’s Miranda. The aim of our Children's Ministry is to help families raise their children to know and love Jesus Christ. Our desire is that all the children in our area would know that they are loved by God who created everything. In each of our groups children are encouraged to get to know and love Jesus in a place that is safe, fun and specifically designed for them.

All of our programs come under the oversight of our Children’s Minister, Cameron Harte, and are lead by trained volunteers who have completed Safe Ministry training and are up to date with the NSW government guidelines in relation to obtaining a Working with Children Check Number.

We have groups that meet throughout the week for toddlers through to primary aged children and their families, Sunday morning programs in conjunction with our family church services, pupil free day kids' clubs, a holiday soccer camp and we teach SRE in our three local primary schools.

Little Beats is an educational music & dance program for kids 0-5 and their parents or carers.

If you are looking for a fun and energetic way to introduce your kids to music and dance, come and get moving with us!

We meet on Fridays from 10:15am - 11:30am (during school terms) at St Luke's Anglican Church, Miranda.

No bookings or commitments required. It is a great inexpensive activity for young kids to get moving and grooving. $5 donation per child or $10 per family.

Hope to see you there for morning tea, melodies and monkeying around.

Playtime!

We’d love to welcome you to Playtime at Miranda North! Playtime is for children from 0-5 years old and their parents or carers.

Playtime aims to provide a fun, safe and friendly community where children, parents and carers can connect with each other through play. We also aim to offer support, encouragement and friendship during this challenging stage of life!

Playtime meets in the Hall at Miranda North Public School on Fridays from 9:30-10:30 during Term time.

(Crèche) (0-2 years old)

Babies and toddlers are looked after so that parents can attend church. We also have a parenting room at the rear of the church so that parents with children who are too young to be left in crèche can sit with their children and still participate in the service.

(Preschool) (3-5 years old)

A fun preschool program with a Bible talk, songs, craft and games.

Clubhouse & Treehouse

We begin in church where we have a Kids' Talk/Spot especially for the kids, after which they go out to their age specific programs. In Clubhouse (years K-2) and Treehouse (years 3-5) kids will be taught the same thing as their parents in church in an age appropriate method and style. They will have lots of fun playing games, hearing form the Bible and building strong relationships with each other.

Pupil Free Day Kids' Clubs

Three times a year we hold a day long kids' club for any one in years K-5 at school. These take place when NSW state schools have their pupil free days. They are held on the first day of Term 2, the first day of Term 3 and the last day of Term 4. In 2015 the dates will be the 20th of April, the 13th of July and the 17th of December.

More information about each of these days will be posted on the church website closer to the event.
