Kids

From the little kids to the big, there is a place for you.

Our hope is to see a generation transform their lives through faith in Jesus. We aim to teach God’s word truthfully and partner with families to raise a generation who love and follow Jesus.

Sunday

We run two programs for kids during our Church Services.

Playhouse

At our 9:00am and 10:45am gatherings, we run Playhouse—a program designed especially for children under 5. It’s a place where little ones can enjoy free play, make friends, and begin learning about the love of Jesus in a safe and fun environment.

Our dedicated leaders—each trained in Safe Ministry—are committed to creating a welcoming space for every child.

A special part of our Playhouse program is group time, where children listen to a bible story, sing and dance to Christian songs and create a craft to help remember the story’s big idea. Through these activities, kids begin to discover Jesus’ love in simple and fun ways.

Kids Church

At our 9:00am and 10:45am gatherings, we run a vibrant Kids Church program designed for children from Kindy to Year 5. It’s a place where kids can build friendships, have fun, and grow in their love and knowledge of Jesus.

Our dedicated leaders—each trained in Safe Ministry—create a safe, welcoming, and joyful environment for every child.

A highlight of Kids Church is our small groups. Each child is part of a consistent group with the same leader and peers, where they read the Bible together and discover how to live it out day by day. Our heart is to see children’s lives transformed as they learn to follow Jesus.

  • Playhouse has morning tea after story time together and we ask that you pack your own child's morning tea in a labelled container/bag and their own drink bottle.

  • Yep! To keep your kids safe, we have a check in station for all of our kids programs.

  • Absolutely! Everyone is welcome to join us at St Luke's. We would love your kids to invite their friends.

  • When you check your kids in you'll have a chance to note down any information you need us to know about your child. We value your child's safety and want to make you aware of any additional needs.

  • In our church building, we have a Parents Room and a Quiet Room so that you can feed them, change their nappies, they can play and you can still participate in the service.

Thursday

On Thursdays we run an afternoon kids program.

On Friday mornings we run a program for pre schoolers and their carers

Playtime is a welcoming space for young children, parents, and carers to connect and build relationships in a fun and relaxed environment. It’s a great way to meet others in the community and make local connections.

Each Friday during school terms, from 10:00–11:30am, we enjoy morning tea together, with plenty of time for free play (indoors and outdoors), craft activities, music, and a Bible story.

For more information, check out our socials or get in touch with Jess jess@stlukesmiranda.org.au

Rise & Sprouts is a weekly program for kids in Kindy to Year 5, where they can build friendships, have fun, and explore what the Bible says—and what it means for their lives. We meet on Thursdays during school terms from 4:30–6:00pm.

Each week starts with afternoon tea, followed by a program full of games, craft, and engaging Bible time, all in a safe and friendly environment. Along the way, kids discover the life-changing truth of Jesus and the good news He offers us.

We also mix things up with special events like dinners, family movie nights, and action-packed afternoons with inflatables and slip ’n slides. To help cover costs, we suggest a $5 donation each week.

We would love to see you there! If you are interested, fill out the registration form below and check out our socials.

Friday

  • We will provide everything your child needs. Afternoon tea and water to drink is always available. Some weeks, we do special activities and notes go home with what they may need for those weeks.

  • Absolutely! Everyone is welcome to join us at St Luke's. We would love your kids to invite their friends.

  • Our registration form will give you a chance to note down any information you need us to know about your child. We value your child's safety and want to make you aware of any additional needs. Please fill out the registration form with any details.

Committed to being safe

Ministry to children, youth and the vulnerable is an enormous privilege. These ministries provide great opportunities to talk to people about who Jesus is and why he changes everything, hence they are immensely important to the life of a Church. With these ministries to children, youth and the vulnerable comes significant responsibility, so at St Luke's we are committed to ensuring that we are an environment that is safe for those in our care.

All of our Kids programs come under the oversight of our Kids Minister, Jess Moran, and are lead by trained volunteers who have completed Safe Ministry training and are up to date with the NSW government guidelines in relation to obtaining a Working with Children Check Number.
